
John
Rickard, President and Founder
John Rickard the President and Founder of WAN Concepts brings 18 years
of business management experience in the use of information technology
to streamline the business process. John is also the CEO of NetConnect,
founded in 1991, Net Connect a full-service Wide Area Network design,
implementation and support company that also offers application design
and development for Clients in the education, telecommunications, manufacturing,
distribution and government industries. Working closely with his customers
he has saved them both money and time by implementing networking technologies
that allow for major cost savings through installation of data communications
links that allow voice and video transmission over data lines for communicating
with overseas manufacturing plants, by developing commission sales applications,
prospect tracking programs and other software applications that have
been implemented worldwide.
Prior
to NetConnect, as Director of Sales for DCC, Inc., a computing technologies
sales company, he increased sales and profits by developing and implementing
a corporate sales force. From 1986 to 1988 he was the Chief Financial
Officer of Velonex, a manufacturer of digital panel meters and transient
power generators where he implemented their first computerized Job Cost
/ ERP tracking system.
Brian Stansberry, Vice President, COO
Brian brings more than 15 years' experience in IT and finance to WAN
Concepts, with special expertise in web application development, financial
systems and ERP systems. Before joining with John Rickard to found WAN
Concepts, Brian was the software development Project Manager at NetConnect,
Inc. Earlier, he enjoyed a successful term as Corporate Controller for
semiconductor manufacturer QT Optoelectronics, Inc., with responsibility
for accounting, planning and budgeting, internal controls and MIS. Brian
has an M.A. in East Asian Studies from Stanford University and a B.A.
from Michigan State University, where he focused on International
Business. Brian has a real passion for China (and his Chinese fiancee,
Sandy), and makes a point of going there at least annually. When taking
a break from his computer, Brian enjoys hiking in the California mountains.
An avid reader, he devours various business, financial, and fiction books, in addition
to a weekly assortment of periodicals and newspapers.
